Gruis Recreation Area "The Barn"

The food was so good and the people working there are amazing. Continuously checking to see if we need anything. I love having a great place to eat and so close to home.

We stopped in for brunch buffet. It was very delicious! Everyone was very friendly. Lots of seating and parking.

Ever since Hardees changed from their old Mushroom Burger to whatever the thing the try to pass off now is, Chuck and I have been in search of one that is close to as good. Today we found the closest we have found yet (still didn't have that yummy wang the old Hardees had, but....look at those mushrooms and onions (red and white) and ooey gooey good swiss cheese on what I am guess is a half pounder (eating the rest for supper tonight.) This was a fun, out of the way stop. We were looking for food very late in the afternoon. Cool restaurant attached to an out of the way golf course. I had boneless wings. Half BBQ half garlic parmesan. Definitely enjoyed both flavors.

A very nice golf course, in the middle of nowhere :) Narrow fairways are lined with trees on both sides on most holes, making it a challenge for any weekend golfer. Greens well maintained. The food was top notch, and everyone very friendly. I highly recommend !!!

This place was the place to be back in the 90's. Has since changed hands multiple times and hasn't ever been the same. Was recently recommended to us saying it was better than it has been the past few years. We went for pizza tonight at 5:30. We got our drink order and food order in. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. We had a 14 month old child with us. We waited until 7:00 before we got up and left with no drink refill, no appetizer of loaded tots and no pizza. There were 3 other tables that got their food order before us that came after us (with tots I might add) that were almost done…

Really tasty Flatbread! I had the chicken alfredo one. The double cheese and bacon burger my husband had was amazing! Great service and nice atmosphere.

Six picky gals from the cities all were impressed by the food and service. Steak was exceptional and cooked to a perfect MR, on the rare side, and came with tons of mushrooms. YUM. Blue drink special is nummy. And, the Titonka stout beer on tap was really good too. Ruben bites with thousand island dressing (that tasted homemade) was a big hit too. Thank you! We'll be back!
